About this product
If you want one camera that watches a whole driveway or garden without pulling Ethernet back to a recorder, this C298 is a straightforward option. It joins your network over 2.4GHz WiFi and can save video to a memory card, a ZOSI NVR or cloud storage, so it works on its own or alongside a ZOSI system you already run.
Inside the housing are two 2MP (1920×1080) lenses, one bullet-style and one dome-style. The camera rotates 355° horizontally and 140° vertically for a 360° view with minimal blind spots, and the lens position can be adjusted for the coverage you want. Night vision reaches 100ft in three modes: black and white, full color, or smart switching.
On-camera AI tells people and vehicles apart from animals and shadows, then locks onto a person and tracks them in real time until they exit the frame. When it spots unusual activity, a white light alarm switches on and the app pushes a notification, with emails and snapshots sent to your phone. The speaker and microphone let you talk with visitors or warn off intruders, and you can record your own voice alerts and set monitoring zones around the parts of the property you care about.
Have these ready before installing:
- A strong 2.4GHz WiFi signal at the spot you plan to mount it.
- A memory card of up to 256GB if you want local recording without an NVR, since one isn't included.
- A wall or ceiling surface; the IP66 weatherproof body is made for driveways, garages, gardens and parking lots.
Which C298 fits?
The C298 4K 8MP Dual-Lens PTZ WiFi moves up to two 4MP lenses with 8X hybrid zoom, the better pick when distant detail matters. This 4MP model makes sense when 1080p per lens covers your needs, and it takes larger memory cards. For four dual-lens cameras on wired PoE with a recorder and 2TB drive, look at the C298 8CH 4K PoE, 4×8MP Dual-Lens PT, 2TB. Family members can share access through the ZOSI Smart app.
