About this product
These four domes are meant for people who already own a recorder. They are 1080p HD-TVI analog cameras, and the package holds the cameras with a power supply and video/power cable, with no DVR in the box. Connect them to a compatible HD-TVI or hybrid recorder and they add four new views to the system you have, or replace four tired cameras on it.
Each dome carries 24 IR LEDs for up to 80ft of night vision. The 3.6mm lens gives roughly a 90° view, which ZOSI notes will vary with the mounting spot. Housings are aluminum metal, built to be vandal proof and waterproof, so the same camera can sit under a porch roof or inside a stockroom, office or school hallway. A 3-axis stand lets you fine-tune the angle after mounting, and the bracket routes the cable through its body so the connection stays covered in rain or snow. You can also run the cable through walls or ceilings when you want the wiring out of sight.
Run through this short checklist first:
- Your recorder takes HD-TVI cameras, or it is a hybrid model. An IP-only PoE NVR is the wrong match for analog domes.
- There are four free channels on it, or four old cameras you plan to swap out.
- You want 2MP 1080p analog domes, not PoE network cameras.
Own a ZOSI PoE recorder instead? The 5MP 3K Add-on PoE Dome is the Ethernet-powered add-on, and the wider ZOSI Dome & Specialty Cameras range includes pan-tilt and WiFi models for spots where a fixed dome falls short.
