About this product
Night footage in color is the C186 headline. Each of the eight 5MP bullets pairs an F1.0 aperture with a 1/3-inch sensor to gather more light, so the cameras keep a full-color picture in near-total darkness, framed in 16:9 widescreen. When you do want light, a 4500K warm lamp offers three brightness levels and can be switched on by hand or scheduled; ZOSI suggests it for areas used by children or pets.
Deterrence is built in. The AI separates people and vehicles from shadows and animals, and a detection can set off a 110dB siren and flashing spotlights while an alert goes to your phone. Through the built-in speaker and microphone you can greet a visitor or warn off a trespasser.
Headroom is the other reason to pick this kit. Eight cameras use half of the 16-channel 4K NVR, ZOSI says an optional PoE switch (not included) extends it to 32 channels, and the pre-installed 4TB drive can be expanded up to 2 × 8TB. Recording runs 24/7 with auto-overwrite, and USB backup saves the clips you need.
For a smaller start in the same family, the C186 8CH 4K NVR, 4×5MP Bullets, 2TB pairs four of these bullets with an 8-channel recorder.
